Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions are a legal agreement between you (our client) and CM Hire. By hiring with CM Hire, you are agreeing with all of the terms and conditions going forward.

1. Payment
1.1 To book an item, payment must be made in full.
1.2 Payments are non-refundable.
1.3 Hire fees are per wear.
1.4 It is the clients responsibility to ensure a try on is undertaken to check sizing and to ensure satisfaction with the condition of the item.
1.5 All bookings are final. Outfits cannot be swapped and dates cannot be changed.
2. Returns/Late Fees
2.1 All hires are to be returned by the allocated date and time as per instructions given by CM Hire.
2.2 Alternate arrangements for return date/time must be made prior to booking.
2.3 If an item is not returned by the due date and time, a $10 late fee will be charged per day until the item is returned.
3. Damage
3.1 All hires are expected to be returned in the condition given by CM Hire.
3.2 Clients acknowledge they are wearing a second hand garment that has been worn by other people therefore general wear and tear can be expected.
3.3 If the item is returned with minor damage, the client must pay the repair price given to CM Hire by the relevant seamstress/dry cleaners. This cost is in addition to the rental fee.
3.4 If the damage is major and beyond repair the full RRP price will need to be paid in addition to the rental fee.
3.5 CM Hire decides whether damage is deemed “minor” or “major”.
4. Cleaning
4.1 Cleaning is not to be attempted by the client, initial cleaning costs are included in rental prices and performed by CM Hire only.
4.2 In the case an item requires additional cleaning, the client is responsible for paying the extra fees given to CM Hire by relevant dry cleaners in addition to the rental fee.
5. Postage
5.1 Australia wide express postage is available at the hirers expense for $30 in addition to the rental fee. This includes delivery and return of the item.
5.2 Orders are posted 5 business days prior to your event.
5.3 CM Hire takes no responsibility for items not arriving on time due to Australia post delays, bookings being made less than 5 business days prior to the event or providing incorrect delivery details, no refunds will be given.
5.4 It is the clients responsibility prior to hiring to check sizing requirements and to ensure satisfaction with the condition of the item - photos can be sent. No refunds will be given as per section 1.
5.5 All hires are to be returned the business day following your event before close of business or late fees will apply as per section 2.3.
5.6 Returns are to be lodged at your local Australia Post Office desk. Returns are not to be placed in Australia Post Boxes.
6. Covid
6.1 Due to an unexpected lockdown or covid diagnosis you will be eligible for;
6.1.1 A credit note valid for 6 months from the date of your original hire
6.2 There will be no refunds
7. Care
7.1 Do not wash the item.
7.2 Do not iron the item.
7.3 Do not alter the item in any way.
7.4 Do not lend the item to anyone.
8. Credit Notes
8.1 Credit notes are offered at CM Hires sole discretion.
9. Drop Off Service
9.1 CM Hire takes no responsibility for items being stolen/lost once delivered to the entered address. The full RRP price will need to be paid in addition to the rental fee if this is to happen.
9.2 It is the clients responsibility to return the item to CM Hire as per section 2.
10. Sale Items
10.1 To buy an item, payment must be made in full.
10.2 Payments are non-refundable. All sales are final.
10.3 It is the clients responsibility to check sizing and to ensure satisfaction with the condition of the item.
10.4 Customers acknowledge they are buying a second hand garment that has potentially been worn by other people.
10.5 Australia wide express postage is available at the customers expense. CM Hire takes no responsibility for items not arriving due to providing incorrect delivery details or items being lost by Australia Post.
10.6 Drop off service - Your outfit will be delivered to your door on the day you select. Items will be left in a safe place if no one is home and you will receive a message from us with a photo showing where it has been left.
10.7 CM Hire takes no responsibility for items being stolen/lost once delivered via shipping or drop off to the entered address.
